Welcome to the Fall 2022 Hwy 62 Open Studio Art Tours Registration.
Sponsored by the Morongo Basin Cultural Arts Council (MBCAC) and now in its 21st year, the Hwy 62 Open Studio Art Tours (Art Tours) is happening October 8-9, 15-16 and 22-23. This is an opportunity for MBCAC members to showcase their creations for visitors from all over the region and beyond.
PLEASE NOTE: This year you must upload your catalog images when you register. your registraion cannot be submitted without your images. CLICK HERE TO REVIEW IMAGE REQUIREMENTS, If you need the services of a professional photographer to satisfy the image requirements please send an email yo arttours@mbcac.org and we can connect you with photographers in the area.
Registration deadline has been extended to June 10th.
Once you start, you cannot save your progress and resume later. After your registration is submitted it cannot be changed so please make sure all information is correct. Review the sample registration form HERE.
Our Participation Conditions have been updated to reflect this year’s changes, many outlined below, so please make sure to read them first.
This year, the Fall 2022 Art Tours will take place over three weekends, October 8-9, 15-16 and 22-23, with official hours of 10 am - 5 pm each day. Artists are welcome to participate in any or all of the three weekends and must commit to being open 10am -5pm each date.
Included with your Art Tours registration fee:
- Your artwork and profile displayed in our catalog, website and app with an interactive/detailed map with street and studio designations for visitors to find you.
- Media and press coverage (digital, print, and radio) for the Art Tours (covering local and regional areas).
- Promotion of every artist on our social media streams (Instagram and Facebook) and monthly newsletter.
- Signage directing visitors to your studio during Art Tours weekends and 10 free copies of the Art Tours Catalog.
- FREE participation in the JTAG Collective Show, one of the best ways visitors can preview artwork by artists choosing to enter. MBCAC will collect 15% commission on work sold during the Collective Show to support our programming.
- FREE workshops to help artists promote and prepare for art tours. (Dates/times TBD.)
- Optional access to graphic design resources and photography services for artwork (additional fee applies).
- Optional installment plan for registration fees.
Please be aware of the following:
- You must be a current MBCAC member at the time of Art Tour. Sign up or renew HERE.
- Be a full or part-time resident of the Morongo Basin.
- A separate application is required for each individual artist participating as part of a shared studio.
- There is a limit of five (5) registered artists at any one location, and the location must be the primary studio of the host.
- No retail or gallery spaces can participate as a Tours stop.
