To celebrate the 20th anniversary of MBCAC, we are hosting two exhibitions that highlight the people that started the MBCAC and those that continue to push the organization forward.

JTAG will exhibit work by our founders, past directors, and committee members Raini Armstrong, Bonnie Brady, Chuck Caplinger, Janis Commentz, Sharon Davis, Valerie Davis, Marjorie Franklin, Marcia Geiger, John Henson, Robin Hercia, Teri Hudson, Kat Johnson, Zara Kand, Ed Keesling, Kathi Klopfenstein, Paul Klopfenstein, Julianne Koza, Ann Lear, Alane Levinsohn, Mitch Miller, Karan Murphy, Amanda Oliver, Ted Quinn, Tami Roleff, Suzanne Ross, Laurie Schafer, Esther Shaw and Holly Rae Wind.

At Gallery 62 our members share work to celebrate the last two decades of the MBCAC and have one last hurrah before Gallery 62 closes in November. Stop by to see work by Aleta Fogden in the Signature Gallery and members Tomas Alban, Raini Armstrong, Abraham Basulto, Gubby Beck, David Bottoms, Bonnie Brady, Anja Broenink, Chris Carraher, Patti Dietrick, Doug Dolde, Paul Donaldson, Julianne Elliott, Belen Escalante Gutierrez Campese, Jamie Ferguson, Larry Fike, Deedee Forrester, Marcia Geiger, Cito Gonzales, Jennifer Grandi, John Greenfield, L.I. Henley, Snake Jagger, Kat Johnson, Ed Keesling, Myra Kennedy, Dimitry Kirillov, Regina Kirillov, Rik Verlin Livingston, Kim Martin, Kathy Miller, Patricia Printz-Jensen, Joan Scott, Jen Shakti, Charla Shamhart, Esther Shaw, Denise Tanguay, Stella Vognar, Constance Walsh, Sephora Woldu and Don David Young.

If you missed reading our August Newsflash, I wanted to let you know that the MBCAC has decided not to renew our lease at Gallery 62. Due to the rise in rent prices, fiscal instability caused by the pandemic and lack of financial support from state, regional and local funders, we do not have the budget to operate two galleries. While I am sad that we have to close the doors at Gallery 62 in November, I am hopeful that we can continue the MBCAC mission at JTAG by combining the focus of both spaces into one cohesive initiative that fits the needs of our community of artists. The board is still planning how this transition will work out, so please have patience as we figure this all out. You can read our President Marcia Geiger’s message here to learn more. If you are curious about how you can help I encourage you to renew your memberships, ask friends to become members, make a donation, participate in our upcoming call for work or simply show up and support our programming. Community is what matters most to me and without being present in our spaces and participating in our programming, our community will slowly dissolve.

Help prevent possibly spreading it to others.
